Description: Journal of Sports Science and Physical Education is a refereed periodical scientific journal specialized in the fields of sports sciences and physical education issued by the College of Sports Sciences and Physical Activity at King Saud University in both Arabic and English under the name: Sports Sciences and Physical Education.

Vision: Pioneering in the field of publication of refereed and distinguished research in sports sciences and physical education locally and internationally

Mission: Enriching the scientific field by publishing refereed research in the fields of sports sciences and physical education in accordance with distinguished international professional standards

Objectives:

1. Publishing refereed scientific research that contributes to the development and promotion of sports and the promotion of community health

2. Enriching Arab databases with solid research in the fields of sports sciences and physical education

3. Raising the standards of publishing in the Arabic language and sourcing distinguished researchers to publish in the Arabic language

4. Meeting the needs of faculty members and specialized researchers locally and regionally for scientific publication in the fields of sports sciences and physical education

5. Making the journal a scientific reference for researchers in the fields of sports sciences and physical education

Number of Editions:

The Journal of Sports Sciences and Physical Education is published twice a year: January & July.

Nature of the published material:

The journal aims to provide an opportunity for all faculty members and researchers to publish their scientific productions in the fields of sports sciences and physical education, which must involve originality, quality and scientific methodology. The journal accepts publication of the following categories, which have not previously been published in Arabic or English:

- Original research                   - Research review

- Research summaries            - Short scientific correspondence

Researchers Guidelines:

• Size: leave the following margins on A4 page size:

• 2.5 cm on the right and left of the page.
• 3.85 cm from the top and bottom of the page.
• The page is divided into two columns, spaced 1 cm apart.
• Length is 23 cm including the header, width is 16 cm including the distance between the two columns (column width 7.5 cm).

• The number of research pages in Arabic should not exceed (25) pages (A4), including the Arabic and English abstracts, references and appendices.

• The number of research pages in English should not exceed (20) pages (A4), including the Arabic and English abstracts, references and appendices.

• The following research information should be written in both Arabic and English:

   (Research title, name of the researcher or researchers, professional affiliation and the researcher’s contact information)

• The abstract word count for the article in Arabic should not exceed (100 words) including the following elements:

(Topic, objectives, methodology, significant findings, conclusion, and key recommendations) with special consideration to be scientifically edited.

The abstract word count for the article in English should not exceed (100 words) including the following elements:

(Topic, objectives, methodology, significant findings, conclusion, and key recommendations) with special consideration to be scientifically edited.

• Keywords should accurately express the subject of the research at the end of the abstract (Arabic/English); maximum (3) words.

• The font (LOTUS LINOTYPE) is used for research in the Arabic language. The font size is (12) normal for body and headings, (12) black for the abstract and (10) black for tables and figures, along with their titles and comments.

• The font (Times New Roman) is used for research in English in a normal size (10) for body and headings, a size of (10) black for the abstract, and a size of (8) black for tables and figures, along with their titles and comments.
